It’s the last series of the regular season for the varsity team, with just a couple of weeks separating us from the postseason. A trip to Goldsboro awaits the Kingsmen in The Week Ahead:
Tuesday, April 21st:

Prospect: @ Eastern Carolina Academy (Premier) (4:00pm)

For the first time this year, the KBA will play three games in a singular day. The conference doubleheader gets things started between the Kingsmen and the Bobcats at the varsity level, then the prospect team wraps up the day against the best that ECA has to offer.
About Eastern Carolina Academy: ECA is based in Goldsboro, North Carolina, over 3 hours from the Kingsmen’s home in Gastonia.Β Eastern Carolina Academy’s coaching staff includes two former minor leaguers. Additionally, ECA coach Adam Pate is a former teammate of Kingsmen Associate Head Coach Preston Hudak, the two playing together for a year at the University of North Carolina. The Kingsmen are 1-1 against the Bobcats this year in varsity ball. They will square off six times in total, battling one more time next week in Lexington at the ABA Round Robin. Meanwhile, these are the first matchups with ECA for the prospect team, who likewise will take on the Bobcats at the Round Robin.

And to wrap up the week, both teams play the Bobcats one more time. This time, it’s just a single game for the varsity team, playing their final conference game before the Round Robin. Meanwhile, the prospect team will take on ECA’s prospect roster for a single joust.
