Having fully crossed over into the month of April, every series is so important. As we near the final month of the season, here’s a look at The Week Ahead:
Tuesday, April 7th:
Prospect (10-4 in ABA): π P27 Academy (2:00pm DH)
π: CaroMont Health Park (Gastonia, NC)
A Tuesday doubleheader sees the Kingsmen take on P27 for the only time this season at the second level of the ABA’s ladder. The games will also serve as “Senior Day”, as this week’s contests are the last home games for the Kingsmen here in the spring of 2026. Originally scheduled for a three game series, the Kingsmen and P27 will now battle just one day this week.
About P27: P27 Baseball Academy is based in Lexington, South Carolina, near Columbia. Founded in 2018, the Blacksmiths boast four MLB draft picks and numerous division one commits from their collection of alumni. The KBA varsity team is 2-2 against P27’s varsity, while the prospect team is taking on the Blacksmiths for the first time.

Thursday, April 9th:
Varsity (4-4 in ABA): π P27 Academy (12:00pm DH)
π: Gardner-Webb University (Boiling Springs, NC)
After watching their prospect teammates take on P27, it’s the varsity’s turn to take on the Lexington visitors. KBA’s varsity team has more experience against the Blacksmiths, and look to continue their streak where they have won 2 of their last 3 against their Carolina rivals. This series has also been shortened from three games to two.
