ABA conference play continues at home for the prospect team, while the varsity group hits the road for a non-conference battle. Here’s The Week Ahead:
Monday, March 9th:
Propsect (5-0 in ABA): 🆚 Rays Collegiate (3:00pm)

The red-hot prospect squad looks to keep their win streak going when they battle the Blue Claws. Rays Collegiate has played the majority of its schedule to this point against collegiate competition, so don’t be fooled by their record. A good series kicks off at CaroMont Monday.
About Rays Collegiate: The Blue Claws are based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The founder & head coach is Willie James, a former Atlanta Braves draft pick. James and his staff bring in a combined 40 years and professional playing and coaching experience. Situated on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, Rays opens up a six-game series against the Kingsmen. The return trip is slated for mid-April in Myrtle Beach.

Tuesday, March 10th:

Similarly to last week, the Kingsmen will play their doubleheader last after the single game on Monday. Gastonia is projected to brighten up for a day in the low eighties, and the Kingsmen will look to shine bright in the sunshine.

Friday, March 13th:
Varsity: @ P27 Academy (12:00pm DH)
📍: Lexington, SC
With a break in ABA play comes a few chances for the varsity squad to find its groove. They’ll take a daytrip down to Lexington for a double-feature against P27. The Kingsmen will be chomping at the bit for a chance to beat the Blacksmiths, who defeated them by a lone run in East Cobb two weeks ago.
About P27: P27 Baseball Academy is based in Lexington, South Carolina, near Columbia. Founded in 2018, the Blacksmiths boast four MLB draft picks and numerous division one commits from their collection of alumni. The KBA varsity team is 0-1 against P27’s varsity, with eight total regular season matchups in store against their Carolina rivals.
