This trip has been really special. This isn’t my first mission trip but each trip you take to these different places is its own special experience. It’s been such a blessing to be able to come down here. I’m so blessed to be able to have the opportunity to have this experience, especially with these guys. These coaches did a great job setting this up. My personal favorite part was going to the school on Tuesday, because personally I have four siblings, I am the oldest of 20+ grandchildren, and I volunteer in the kids section at my home church, so going to see those kids is one of my favorite things to do because just seeing the smiles on their faces brings me so much joy getting my face painted was fun. After I got my face painted, one kid was going wild with paint on my arm. I had a blue arm by the end of it. We also did a fun little part as a team where we danced to Danza Kuduro as a team, which was really fun. It was just a time where we could all just laugh. That was a bit of a extra bonus, in my opinion. I loved that whole visit. Definitely the best part of the trip for me. Overall, this trip has been amazing. We are fed well, we are taken care of very well. We’ve played some good baseball down here and we also got to learn more about Christ through our Bible studies and through our devotionals. I really enjoy how each member of our coaching staff is willing to share about Christ, not shy at all to share. I think that’s what makes this academy so great is we’re not just a baseball academy. We are a Christian baseball academy and that is emphasized a lot and I love that part. Lastly, I would like to thank Coach Hudak and all of the people who helped make this trip possible it was an amazing trip. I am eternally grateful. Thank you and God bless you.
