My days in the beautiful country of the Dominican Republic have been nothing but the best. Today we visited a church in La Romona that really opened my eyes about how everyone’s walk with faith is a lot different but at the same time very passionate. The church wasn’t very big; lawn chairs to sit in, older equipment used to preach, but that did not stop the community from spreading the gospel in their beautiful songs and sermons from the bottom of their heart. As everyone knows the Dominican Republic is the cradle of stud baseball athletes as they don’t have much to do and that’s the kids only way off the island. We got to play a double header vs some village teams. In the first game we actually played against current pro guys and that was a once in a lifetime opportunity especially to play on a traditional Dominican ball field. The bases all torn up, cows in right field, the whole village there to watch America vs The Dominican Republic, no better environment I would rather be in. All in all words can’t describe enough how grateful I am for the opportunity to bless other families in need, play against Dominican baseball players on the island, and spread the gospel and the man we all love, Jesus Christ with one another.
