Being in the Dominican Republic was an experience I’ll never forget, especially getting the chance to give back while having so much fun along the way. One of the highlights was visiting an elementary school, where the kids immediately filled the place with laughter and energy. They grabbed paintbrushes and happily painted my face. Their excitement was amazing. and it reminded me how joyful the simplest moments can be.
Beyond the fun, the day carried real meaning. We spent time handing out food to nearby villages, making sure families had what they needed. Seeing the appreciation on people’s faces was powerful and humbling, and it showed me how important it is.
In between everything, I also got to play baseball a sport that connects so many people, it was amazing. and it left a lasting impact on me.
